SMCC offers a broad range of programs that allow you to expand your creativity and originality through art, design, literature, language, communication, media, video and music. These programs will prepare you for a career or to transfer to a four-year college or university in a related area of study. Communication & New Media Studies

Associate Degree Program
The program provides a strong foundation in web, video/audio and print media. Students can choose to specialize by selecting from a flexible menu of advanced curriculum options including digital imaging, design and illustration, video and audio production, animation or website production. Liberal Studies: Art Focus

Associate Degree Program
Students work in our state-of-the-art studio facilities and guided by practicing professional art faculty, graduates can go on to careers in studio art, illustration, graphic design, fashion, art education, arts advocacy and curatorial work in galleries and museums. Liberal Studies: English Focus

Associate Degree Program
Through an Associate in Arts degree in Liberal Studies with a focus in English, SMCC will start you on your path to a four-year degree at a baccalaureate institution. The Liberal Studies program with a Focus in Music helps students explore their options for a musical career while preparing them for continued studies in music at a four-year school upon graduation.
